We understand life changes, and sometimes you're unable to return to your original cosmetic tattoo artist. Maybe your touch-up is overdue, or perhaps you're looking for a complete refresh or restyle of your brows. The short answer to whether we work over existing tattoos is YES. Perth Brow Studio is here to help where we can. Our ultimate goal is to restore your confidence and simplify your routine by creating brows that work for you, not against you.

That said, before we commit to taking on previously tattooed brows, we do require a thorough consultation. Why? Because every set of brows tells a different story, and we want to make sure we’re creating a result that enhances your features, respects your skin’s integrity, and continue to compliment you over time.

  • Im sure you’ve seen the words “no previous tattooing” or “we don’t touch up other artist’s work.” We know this can be frustrating so let us explain some reasons why this may be the case.

    It’s not about turning you away for the sake of it nor is it about extra removal or correction fees. When it comes to working over existing tattooing, there are several factors we need to assess to ensure the best outcome for now and 10 years time. After all, we don’t want to be going through this process again.

    Some factors we carefully evaluate are:

    • Current pigment colour & saturation

    • Skin health & healing ability

    • Depth and technique of previous tattooing

    • Symmetry, shape, thickness, and style

    • Time between previous tattoo session

    • How the previous work may evolve over time

  • During this appointment we’ll:

    • Assessing your existing brow tattoo in detail

    • Discussing and understanding your lifestyle commitments, brow goals, preferences, and concerns

    • Reviewing your best options transparently

    From there, we’ll create a personalised plan to ensure we achieve your ultimate brow goals that suit your unique features and schedule commitments, whether that’s for a subtle refresh or a completely new style tailored just for you.

    Can’t make it into the salon?

    At PBS, understand clients may not live directly in Perth and getting here for a consultation may seem impossible. If this is your situation we can work around this with clear photos however we ask that you understand although rare this method may not be the most accurate and if the photos are not clear enough our plan may need to change upon in person evaluation.

  • Brows are one of your most defining features, they’re also a tattooist’s signature. At PBS, we only take on work that we’re confident will elevate your look now and in the long term. If we believe your current brows can be refreshed in a way that will complement you and your natural features, we’ll create a plan to bring them back to life. If a full restyle or removal is better suited, we’ll guide you with honesty, care & trusted recommendations if we feel someone’s skill set is needed (laser etc).
